The North Carolina Department of Transportation requires the County’s governing board to approve the Title VI plan for the Transit Department every three years. The last plan was approved in January, 2021. A copy of the Title VI Plan is attached.
The revisions include:
• Section 8.1 - 8.6: Service Area Population Characteristics - updated Census data
• Section 10.5: Limited English Proficiency - updated Census data
• Section 10.7: Key contacts - update to Transit Advisory Board and other community contacts
• Section 10.8: Community Outreach - update of dates of public hearings
• Section 12.0: Non-elected boards and committees - update to demographic information of Transit Advisory Board
