The General Assembly amended GS 115D-12 (attached) and changed the standard formula for community college boards of trustee appointments from 4 governor, 7 Rutherford County Commission and 3 Polk County Commissioner to eight (8) general assembly, 4 primary county, and 2 any other county in the administrative area. The General Assembly appointments shall be one appointment by the Speaker of the House and one shall be an appointment of the President Pro Tempore of the Senate.
At the June 3 meeting, the Rutherford County Board of Commissioners appointed two members whose terms were expiring (Mr. Roger Jolley and Dr. Seema Daigle). The Board will need to consider rescinding this action and making only one appointment.

1. Rescind action of June 3, 2024 meeting to appoint Mr. Roger Jolley and Dr. Seema Daigle to the Isothermal Community College Board of Trustees due to action of General Assembly.
2. Appoint member to Isothermal Community College Board of Trustees to term ending June 30, 2028.
