Steve Garrison, County Manager, requests a one-time approval to allow overtime payment for exempt employees that have worked long and continuous hours due to NC Tropical Storm Helene. The overtime payment would be for time worked commencing upon the Proclamation of a County State of Emergency on September 25, 2024, at 2:30 pm, through October 13, 2024, or at such earlier time that the increased staffing demands due to NC Tropical Storm Helene FEMA-4827 and its aftermath are able to return to normal schedule of staff work hours. The overtime will be compensated for hours worked over and above the regular workweek at their regular hourly rate. All overtime must be reflected on timesheets and accounted for by proper signatures of employees and department heads in accordance with policy.
