Rutherford County experienced unprecedented damages due to Hurricane Helene on September 27, 2024. In order to protect the public health and safety of citizens and to ease the financial burden associated with the recovery process, it is recommended that all electrical permit fees for the repair or replacement of electrical equipment for structures damaged by the storm be waived and released for a period of thirty (30) days (through November 6, 2024.) A resolution approving this action is presented for the Board’s consideration.
