Summary:

summary

Two terms of office on the Forest City Board of Planning and Adjustment as representatives of the Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) expired on April 3, 2025.

In 2004 the Rutherford County Board of Commissioners deferred the appointment of members to this board to the Town of Forest City.  In the meantime, the Forest City Unified Development Ordinance has been updated, and the updated ordinance does not address deferment.

The vacancies were advertised, and applications were accepted.  Mr. Charles Flack applied for reappointment to this board.  The Forest City Council approved the reappointment of Mr. Flack.

Mr. Jack Elliott has applied for appointment.  The appointment of Mr. Elliott will be on the Forest City Council April 21 agenda.
