Rutherford County Transit has been awarded an $800,000 grant from NCDOT to provide transportation to ICC. This will be a joint grant with Polk County Transit to transport citizens in both counties to ICC campuses in Spindale and/or Columbus. There is no required match to the grant and Rutherford County will be the fiscal agent with Polk County Transit submitting invoices for trip expenses.
An interlocal agreement and an agreement with NCDOT will be presented when available.

Allow the Interim County Manager to work with the County Attorney and Finance Director to approve the grant agreement when it is received and approve the interlocal agreement once it is available based on the terms of the grant.
