Kennedy and members of the National Council of Senior Citizens led to designating May as “Senior Citizens Month,” the prelude to “Older Americans Month.” The month is a time to celebrate the contributions seniors make to their communities. A proclamation declaring the month of May as Older American’s Month is presented for the Board’s consideration.
