Rutherford County Fire/Rescue Association, Inc., is requesting County’s consent to relocate the Firefighters’ Monument it owns from the Courthouse to its permanent location at ICC near the Emergency Services Training Center. The Association has paid for all costs for the monument and will pay for the move. There is no more space at its current location. The North Carolina Historical Commission approved the new site on June 10, 2025.
