EMS/Transit Director Kerry Giles will present contracts for the Board’s consideration for medical transportation under the new Medicaid Managed Care Model with Transit and EMS. Changes will affect both Transit and EMS beginning July 1, 2021 as all transportation requests for Medicaid recipients will go through one of two statewide transportation brokers, rather than at the local level. Contracts with both transportation providers are currently under review with the County Attorney.

Authorize the EMS/Transit Director and the County Attorney to negotiate terms/conditions of agreements and authorize the County Manager, Finance Officer, Clerk to the board, and other County officials to sign and execute all documents in support of this action.
