The terms of office for three members of the Board of Equalization and Review expired on December 31, 2018. These vacancies were advertised, and applications were accepted. One new member was appointed at the February 4, 2019 meeting. Commissioner Michael Benfield has indicated his willingness to serve another term.
A resolution adopted by the Rutherford County Board of Commissioners on December 4, 2017 states that the Rutherford County Board of Commissioners shall designate one of the members of the current Board of Commissioners so appointed as chairperson of the Board of Equalization and Review.
