The North Carolina Department of Transportation requires the County’s governing board to approve the Title VI plan for the Transit Department every three years. The last plan was approved in May 2016. A copy of the 2019 plan is attached. Below are the changes that have been made since the last approval.

Pg. 7- Updated narrative on the Deviated Fixed route and staff titles. Also updated 5311 funding amounts.

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987, states that no person shall, on the ground of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age or disability, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination or retaliation under any program or activity.
